"On the Mat " continued throughout the rest of the week, I did manage to get the hang of it and I am sure if there had been a prize for the best I would have got it.
At first I thought it was best to sit at the back as Maisie was complete"pants" at catching and everything bounced off her head and fell into my space, but once she got the idea that I was behind her she made more effort so I crept forward, which had the "Blond Top" in raptures telling me I had done very well

Did a bit of looking pathetic at the back door but with little impression on those inside, it was through the dog room door or nothing!!
Flora very kindly gave up her new bed to me...... well I think she did anyway I took it and very nice it was too
Its was Halloween whilst you were away so I thought I would send you a Halloween picture in case you thought you missed out!
On Saturday Gus and Gieves came back for me and off we went back to their pile in the hills, where I am still having a great time, I do have concerns about the " House Bunny" but I have learnt that you can't take all the world problems on your shoulders some things just have to remain as they are...but you cannot say I did not try!
On Wednesday there was an inter skool cross country event, which I managed to get a sick note from Matron for, I tell you the noise and chaos that was going on here is no odds to anyone, I managed to get a picture of the competitors but I stayed in bed and the best place it was too, as you can see they were a pretty dodgy lot!
Anyway the "blond top" is off to get a suntan so I don't think I will have access to the computer until she gets back so its toodle pip for now still loads to do.

Muffin, sounds like you are having fun with the'blonde top', suggest you continue improving with 'on the mat' and continue to leave the 'house bunny' alone at the pile in the hills. Do this and you'll be at the top of the class.
I think I might have a word with matron about the note excusing you from the inter schools cross country event?
Dear Muffin. I,m so glad u enjoyed your stay with Maisie and Flora. I'm so pleasedthat you have mastered the art of getting on the mat. The Blonde Top should have been very impressed. Back to school is always a bit of a wrench but I am sure you are still having fun with Gus and Jeaves. Do please remember not to upset Matron by chasing her indoor rabbit. You will only get detention & possibly not allowed even to chase the birds either. Give Blonde top a big kick- sorry - lick when you next see her and tell her and the other grey top that we are still enjoying ourselves here in NZ but I think I prefer OZ. Missing you lots despite my having met some nice K9 friends here. Still love you the most. M.
